Welcome to SCAT K492. K492 is a simulator application of SCAT (Switching Converter Analysis Tool) software for switching power converters. SCAT employs definitely original algorithms developed in EEL (Energy Electronics Laboratory) , SOJO University, Japan. SCAT is newly developed and does not at all depend on any other existing software such as SPICE. K492 is the simulator which satisfies all requirements for a simulator, such as accuracy, speed, stability, functionality and easiness.

Programmable Device |
A programmable element of SCAT can describe arbitrary operation by the grammatical construction that looks like C language well. It is possible to correspond also to the simulation of digital, the analog coexistence circuit, and the DSP control circuit widely by three kinds of programmable elements of the voltage source, the computing unit, and the control machine. |

SCAT Analysis
Digital control analysis by DSP |
The DSP program can be created by block drawings. Each block contains simple function and microprogram is written inside which shows its function. Standard microprograms are supplied as library.
Whole program is automatically generated by the block drawings and easily analyzed by the analytical function of K.492 as similar to ordinary simulation function. |
Steady Analysis |
Steady Analysis is the one of the most difficult to execute fast among Simulator for general purpose. SCAT can execute such Steady Analysis very fast. |
Sweep Analysis |
Sweep Analysis is a Characteristic Analysis when you vary a parameter such as Load. SCAT supports most of Parameters besides Load for Sweep Analysis and do it very fast. SCAT can complete in a few minutes ,while other Simulator requires a couple of HOURS. |
Waveform Analysis |
SCAT has a Powerful Oscilloscope Function made by Object oriented Programming. This allows you to scope current and voltage Waveform as if you were in a laboratory. |
Transient Analysis |
SCAT is good at analyzing Transient Response. You can display response waveform of Voltage and Current and their Trace of Max. and Min. Values during the one cycle as well. And if you combine it with Waveform Analysis or Continuous Analysis, you can get the Waveform of Transient Response on arbitrary point. This flexible Feature is unique to SCAT ,none of other software can hardly do it. |
Analysis with Control Circuit |
Fast previous Analysis can be done even if it contains control circuits. While existing Simulators can hardly analyze circuit when it is under control., SCAT can simulate even it is under control by PWM Control ,Switching Frequency Control because SCAT is optimized for Switching Power Supply Analysis only. SCAT has Control Verify function and accept Multi Loop to control plural items. |
AC Input Analysis&3-Phase Input Analysis |
SCAT can analyze AC Input and this factions make it possible to Ripple-Noise analysis or Power Factor Analysis. You can analyze both three phase circuit and Active filter Circuit even it is under control. |
FFT and Harmonic Analysis |
Harmonic Analysis will be "must" in near future,. Power Factor is an indispensable Test item. In SCAT's FFT window , FFT Analysis can be made arbitrarily by one click operation. And Necessary Functions such as Classification of harmonics regulation ,Power Factor of Input Current and Harmonic Distortion are supported in SCAT. |
Frequency Response Analysis |
K492 can analyze a frequency response which is important to confirm the stability of circuits. In K492, it is not required to make an average circuit model unlike in SPICE. K492 executes the analysis directly from the original switching circuit model. |
Script analysis |
